Dry Mining

By using high-powered hydraulic water jets, the ore is loosened and the rock/debris is separated from the sand. The slurred sand is then transferred from the mine to the WCP plant through pipes. This cost-saving method reduces the unnecessary transportation of material and makes the operation economical.

This mining method and practice has been proven in the Chinese ilmenite sector for the past 30 years where it has been employed to produce millions of tones on an annual basis.
